How long does counselling last?
This really depends on you. In most cases, it takes a number of sessions before counselling starts to make a difference. A regular commitment is required to make the best use of the therapy. We can work short-term for 6-12 sessions or longer-term for 12-50 sessions or ongoing.
How long is a counselling session?
Sessions are for 50 minutes.
How often are the sessions?
Sessions are usually weekly but this can vary and we can discuss this at your first session.
How much does a session cost?
Fees are on request and there is no obligation on the client/s or me to continue beyond the first meeting. We talk about this together and agree next steps. Payment is made at the start of each session either by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
What happens in the first session together?
Our first meeting will be a counselling assessment where you can see if I am the right person for you and if now is the right time for you to commit to counselling. There is no obligation for you to take it further or do anything other than talk. It is your choice to decide whether to continue the therapy.
How can I access your therapy service?
The first important step for you is to call me to arrange to meet.
Where do you work?
